Tryanuary - A Month of Tasting...
Forget 'Dry January' this month we celebrate Tryanuary, a fab excuse to try a variety of different beers, lagers and ales.
Created in 2015 by Manchester branding director Andy Heggs, Tryanuary was first launcged after a conversation between Heggs and his two friends; Stuart Swann and Shane Swindells.
Swann, who owns Glossop's own Howard Town Brewery championed the idea of customers having a chance to try a range of beers that they usually wouldn't have the opportunity to sample.
The varied offerings Howard Town Brewery have proved a hit with our locals, one in particular - the Shining Clough, which is described as a; "warming chestnut ale with flavoursome malts and hints of seasonal orange". We're extremely pleased to be able to offer these limited edition beers within our shop, as well as behind our bar as part of the British selection.
We're proud to be a part of this national campaign which champions local beer, pubs and breweries through the use of social media.
We're currently using the hashtag #Tryanuary to raise the profile of this great idea and would love to see more independent beer specialists get on board with the campaign.
Come down and visit us for the rest of the month to sample a few of our Tryanuary beers, we've got over 30 to choose from so you are sure to find something you like.
