Samichlaus
Samichlaus Bier, brewed by Austrian brewery Schloss Eggenberg, is not your average winter beer. This strong lager boasts an impressive 14% alcohol by volume, making it one of the strongest beers in the world. Originating from Switzerland, Samichlaus Bier is brewed only once a year on December 6th and then aged for 10 months before being released just in time for Christmas. It has a rich, malty flavour with notes of caramel, raisins, and plums, creating a complex yet smooth taste that is perfect for sipping by the fire on a cold winter night. Despite its high alcohol content, Samichlaus Bier is surprisingly drinkable and has a warming quality that makes it ideal for enjoying during the holiday season
