The vineyards were planted at the beginning of the 1990s. Yields are low, at just 500 grams of grapes per vine, giving wines with great concentration of flavour. The soil consists of rocky stratifications of galestro and clay-like earth with schist typical of the Apennine areas in Tuscany.
Tasting Notes 
Aromas of blackcurrants and dark cherries are supported by more herbal notes of rosemary, thyme and tea leaves on the nose. Galatrona is dense and full-bodied with robust and chewy tannins. Refreshing acidity keeps the finish long and complex.
