Made from selected plots grown on the shelly, flinty, kimmeridgian clay of the Saint-Andelain hill overlooking the Loire river. These plots are vinified separately and gently using gravity feeding and low temperatures to settle the must. Fermentation takes places over three weeks under regulated temperatures, followed by time on the fine lees.
 
Pierre à Fusil means gun-flint, and as the name suggests there is a delicate, subtle hint of smoke on the nose, alongside green fruit and honey. Textural, herbaceous and brightly citrus, the palate is full of ripe fruit with a lovely mineral finish.
